Hisaronu is a popular and wonderful place located on the southwest of Marmaris. Hisaronu Gulf is a big one related to the other gulfs around and it gives great opportunities for the travellers.

On the 22th kilometer of Marmaris-Datca Road, you will see the Hisaronu sign. The road is great with Hisaronu Gulf on one side and Gokova Gulf on the other side. We highly recommend a ride on the Marmaris-Datca Road. You will be fascinated with the nature and the environment.

How it is like?

Hisaronu is famous for its Hisaronu Gulf, beach, windy & low humidity, being the best windsurfing place in the Marmaris region, horse riding, boat trips, camping by the beach, remains of a holy area named Kastabos, cafes and restaurants.

The sea is shallow and the sand is tile colored. People preferring a calm and quite holiday mostly chose Hisaronu region. The water and the fresh air in Hisaronu is very healthy for the people having asthma and heart diseases. During the season, the weather gets windy sometimes and this attracts the windsurfing fans.

Marmaris’ one of the three horse riding points is in Hisaronu. There are clubs and you may have horse riding safari in the shores and in the forests.

The region have hosted the ancient city of Bybassos so you may take a history walk around the city remnants.

In Hisaronu, you may enjoy your holiday in the company of the great beaches, the sun and the sea. Another great attraction in Hisaronu is windsurfing. Hisaronu Gulf is very suitable for windsurfing when it is windy.

The ancient city of Bybassos is nearby the village. There is a temple named “Hemithea” on the Mount Eren. The remnants belong to the temple city of Kastabos. Also on the hill there is a middle age castle.

You may also participate the daily boat trips made to the side coves and beaches such as Inbuku Cove, Kartal (Eagle) Cove, Tavsan (Rabbit) Island and Bencik Harbor. Hisaronu Gulf and nearby coves and bays are very popular mooring area for yacht, gulets and boats.

The famous Cubucak and Inbuku nature parks and forest camp areas also situated very close to Hisaronu. Those forest camps are fine places to experience and enjoy the cooler climate and clear sea.

Hisaronu is located 20,6 km. on the southwest of Marmaris, following the Marmaris-Datca Road.

You can find midi buses going to Hisaronu from central Marmaris.
